Luuks Studio‘s initial flame was sparked during lockdown 2020, when university friends Ilse van der Merwe and Edith Thiart dreamed up ideas via endless whatsapp calls between Stellenbosch and Pretoria. They both nurtered the concept of manufacturing beautiful locally hand crafted leather, canvas and wooden gifts, with the aim of sparking pure joy. Today the range has grown into a wider catalogue that we are very proud of, headed by Owner/Director Chris Thiart. Our vision of integrity and quality remains unwavered.
